Treating Liver Disease in Cats - The Natural Way!
Monday July 28, 2008

When your cat has liver problems, treatment becomes very important. Not being an expert, and being very suspicious of drugs and their costs, when my cat Olive got sick, I wanted to use a natural supplement. After trying drugs a staff member at my vet's office recommended a product from PetWellbeing.com named Feline Milk Thistle. Basically, here is our story:

I am sure that there are countless people reading this who can appreciate how much our pets mean to us. The day to day joy of a loving pet is something which is both therapeutic as well as special in so many ways. Every day, my cat Olive and I have a little cuddle as I press the snooze button, then she gets fed and off I go to work. It is this kind of lovely routine that whilst enjoying, you end up taking for granted. Until, that is, your vet tells you that your precious pet has a serious illness. For me, the shock of being told Olive had liver disease was quite something. You always hope that your cat will not get sick. The reality was that Olive was diagnosed and the road to recovery was one that we had to travel together.

If you are anything like me, you love your cat beyond words. Even so, I do tend to take her health for granted. It was only when Olive became ill that I suddenly focused even more than usual on how special she is to me. To cut a long story short, a battery of tests showed that Olive had contracted Cat Liver Disease.

When it comes to pet health, all I know is that I have always fed Olive a healthy blend of food and got her checked over regularly so this was unbelievable. Even though the vet was great when he explained to me all the treatment options I was a bit blinded by all the terminology! After a day, Olive was ready to come home.

The vet said I could try looking for a Natural Healing Vet product, he had heard they worked well and were quit a bit less expensive. I trust my vet so I bought some at PetWellbeing.com and started given Olive the dosage. After a few weeks I can honestly say that Olive was looking and acting much better and I now believe that the Milk Thistle was a great choice”
